Adelphi University announces Swim & Dive Takes on SCSU In Dual Meet

New Haven, Conn. - In its second meet in as many days, the Adelphi University swimming and diving program hit Southern Connecticut State on Friday, in dual meet action. 


Skyler Nenadich rebounded from her second place finish a day earlier on the one-meter board to score 251.08 to earn points for the women's squad, nearly 20 points higher than the next score. She doubled up on a three-meter crown for the second day in a row, putting up 215.09 

Cooper Rivers swam a sub-2:00 in the 200 butterfly, clocking in at 1:59.07 to place second overall in the lanes. Brian Klotsche finished .20 seconds behind the top swim from Southern in the 100 freestyle, to earn silver and points for his team. 

The group of Cooper Rivers, Klotsche, Timothy Yeung and Daniel Dalrymple put up a time of 3:19.30 in the lanes against Southern Connecticut, besting their quartet by .05 seconds to take first in the event. 

The Panthers will conclude its three-day meet streak on Saturday, Jan. 13 against the College of Saint Rose. The meet is projected to start at 3:00 p.m. and the program will honor three soon-to-be graduates in Klotsche, Nenadich, and Sean Roudnitsky
