Battling high winds on Sunday, the Adams State University Grizzlies dropped the first game of the doubleheader, 15-1, before the gusts forced officials to cancel the finale of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) series.

The Grizzlies suffered their 13th straight loss to fall to 3-18 overall and to 0-10 in conference contests while the Mavericks extended their win-streak over the Grizzlies to 26.

The Grizzlies surrendered 17 hits, 13 of which were for extra-bases including five doubles and three triples.

Adams State's lone run was a 1-out Angeline Mitchell single followed by a Sydney Muniz double down the left field line.

The Grizzlies return to action on Saturday when Black Hills State comes to town for a four-game series.
