Middle Tennessee State University announces Four Blue Raiders to compete in NCAA East Preliminaries

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee's men's and women's track and field teams will have four athletes competing at the NCAA East Preliminaries on May 24-27 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Live Results for the NCAA East Preliminaries will be provided by the NCAA each day of competition. The livestream will start Wednesday on ESPN+.
 
The Meet Schedule
 
The outdoor meet will kick off on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. CT with the men's 110m Hurdles.

Last Time Out for the Blue Raiders – C-USA Championships
 
Faith Nyathi was named the C-USA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Freshman of the Meet
 
Men's Top Performances 
· 
Alaba Akintola placed first in the men's 100m and 200m. In the 100m he ran a time of 10.05s and in the 200m a 20.43s.
· 
Stephen Eloji won the men's 110m Hurdles with a new C-USA Championship record time of 13.50s.
 
Women's Top Performances
· Faith Nyathi finished first in the women's 5000m with a time of 16:50.26 and second place in the 10000m with a time of 36:24.46s to earn Freshman of the Meet.
· 
Lyn'Nikka Vance earned a bronze medal in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.04m.
