Messiah University announces School Record For Horst Highlights Trip to Widener

CHESTER, Pa. - A handful of Falcons from the Messiah University Track and Field team traveled to Widener University for the opportunity to run in a competitive 5000 Meter Field. Five men earned new personal bests in the event with Logan Horst highlighting those efforts with a new school record. Horst's time of 14:33 breaks the record of 14:40.56 set in 2019 by Benjamin Schott. 

Louka Fetter improved his place on the Top Ten list, moving into third with a time of 14:42 on Friday night.

Two Falcons earned a place on the Top Ten list with their performances Friday Night. Kyle Costello ran 15:06 and Noah Calisti ran 15:09 to join the Top Ten list in ninth and tenth respectively.

Josiah Moyer had the final personal best for the men, crossing the line in a time of 15:17.

Kate Dickow was the lone Falcon from the Women's team to make the trip. She also ran in the 5000 Meter, crossing the line in a time of 18:22.

The majority of the Messiah Track and Field Team will be in action Saturday, April 22nd when they travel to Gettysburg College for the Mason Dixon Invitational.
