Lander University announces Will McClellan named PBC Freshman of The Week

MARTINEZ, Ga., - After a stellar week, Will McClellan has been named the PBC Freshman of The Week as announced by the conference office.

This is the second time this season McClellan has been named the FOTW, as he earned the honor back on March 13.

McClellan recorded hits in all four games this past week while racking up seven hits, nine runs, five doubles, eight RBI and two walks. He also averaged a .438 batting average along with a .750 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.

At Wingate, McClellan recorded one hit for a double along with two runs, an RBI and a walk. 

Against the Panthers, McClellan had multi-hit games in all three games. He saw a total of seven hits, seven RBI and four doubles against Claflin this past week.

Defensively, McClellan recorded 16 putouts and 2 assists with no errors. 

McClellan is currently second in the PBC in doubles, third in slugging percentage, fifth in runs and tied for sixth in home runs.
