Illinois College announces Peyton Phillis and Connor Hennemann Named CSC Academic All-District
JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The 2023 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, have been released. Illinois College's Peyton Phillis and Connor Hennemann have both been listed as honorees for this year's team.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees from all divisions of college athletics including NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
Phillis has been a standout for the Blueboys this season leading the team with 36 runs scored. He also recorded six doubles, four home runs, and 27 RBI on the season. Phillis has been a key contributor on the base paths ranking second on the team with seven stolen bases this year.
Hennemann has also made a significant impact for the Blueboys in the 2023 campaign. He has been a reliable infielder leading the team with 84 assists and recording a fielding percentage of .947. He has also influenced the team at the plate ending the year with 18 runs scored and 22 RBI.
Each All-District honoree will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 7th for baseball.
