Husson University announces Men's golf sits in 12th place after round one of the 50th Annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Husson University's men's golf team sits in 12th place of 20 teams with a team card of 307 after the first round at the 50th annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship, held at the Paradise Point Golf Club.Methodist University is currently the club house leader after carding a team score of 285, followed by Christopher Newport University (286) and Guilford College (288). Alex Price of Christopher Newport recorded a 5-under 67 and currently holds a two shot lead over Jonny Lewis of Methodist on the individual leaderboard.
Husson was lead by junior Will Kavanaugh, who shot a 75 to finish day one tied for 29th place in a field of 100 golfers. Junior Chris Kauppila tied for 38th after carding a 76, while junior Jack King and senior Cade Charron are tied for 55th with 78 cards. Senior Max Woodman finished round one wih a score of 81 and is currently tied for 71st.
Husson returns to the links tomorrow for round two of the 50th annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship. The Eagles are scheduled to tee off at 8:45 a.m.
