Howard Payne University announces Jackets Earn ASC Team Sportsmanship Award

RICHARDSON, Texas - The American Southwest Conference today announced that the Howard Payne University men's golf team was named the 2022-23 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Team Sportsmanship award winner for the 2022-23 men's golf season.

This was the third year that the Yellow Jacket men's golf program has received the SAAC Team Sportsmanship Award.

The SAAC Team Sportsmanship Award honors the member institution in each ASC championship sport that best displays positive qualities of sportsmanship and fair play from its student-athletes, coaches and fans throughout the season. Spring 2023 awards are presented in baseball, men's golf, women's golf, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's track & field and women's track & field with each of the 10 campus SAACs voting within the sports it sponsors.
