Hendrix Warriors announces Stoyanow Tabbed SAA Pitcher of the Week After Stellar Sunday Performance

Atlanta, Ga. - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released its recipients for its weekly Player of the Week awards on Monday, with Andrei Stoyanow being named the SAA Pitcher of the Week after helping the Warriors clinch their conference-opening series against Oglethorpe over the weekend.

Stoyanow toed the rubber in Game 3 and was dominant, tossing 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball while giving up just one run. He fanned 11 Oglethorpe batters on his way to earning the decision, taking him to 3-0 on the year.

He currently carries a 1.42 ERA over 19.0 innings pitched and has given up just 3 runs while recording 26 punchouts.

Stoyanow will look to continue his excellent start to the 2023 season as the Warriors welcome Sewanee to Conway for a Friday-Saturday series.

First pitch for Game 1 is scheduled for 5:00 PM CT at Warrior Baseball Field.
