Hendrix Warriors announces Blackburn Tabbed SAA Pitcher of the Week

Atlanta, Ga. - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) named the recipients of the conference's weekly player of the week awards, with David Blackburn winning Pitcher of the Week after his sensational outing for the Warriors last weekend.

The senior toed the rubber in Game 2 versus Sewanee and went the distance, tossing 7.0 IP of 3-hit ball while striking out six to secure the complete game shutout of the Tigers.

He has struck out 20 batters in 18.2 IP and is now 1-2 on the year.

This is the second time in his career that Blackburn has earned the Pitcher of the Week honors.
