Cardinal Gibbons High School, part of the Archdiocese of Miami, opened in 1961. P. Paul Ott is the school principal and Marie Schramko is the assistant principal. Thomas Mahon is the dean of students. The school enrolls about 1,200 students. The school "is dedicated to preparing each student to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. Our unique combination of college-preparatory curriculum, extra-curricular programs and community service promotes the academic, moral, social, athletic, artistic and spiritual development of the student."
