Former Hazleton Area High School standout Gianna Gombeda’s collegiate team to play for NCAA D2 Softball Championship starting Thursday, May 9

Former Hazleton Area High School player and current Bloomsburg Huskies third baseman and catcher, Gianna Gombeda, will compete in the NCAA D2 Softball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number six seed against the third seeded Charleston Golden Eagles.

The first game is on Thursday, May 9.
